1. What Sentinel is
Sentinel is a Fabric mod for Minecraft Java Edition (1.21.11+) plus an accompanying web companion at sentinel-mc.com that lets you monitor and remote-control your own Minecraft instance from a browser. You run the mod locally on your own machine; the website acts as a thin authentication + relay layer.
2. Beta status
You are accessing Sentinel during a closed beta. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. We do our best to be careful but offer no SLA. The beta is free; paid plans launch separately.
3. Acceptable use
You may only use Sentinel with Minecraft instances you own or control. You will not use it to interfere with other players, bypass server anti-cheat in ways that violate the host server's rules, or to monitor anyone other than yourself. Server operators reserve the right to ban accounts they detect using Sentinel; we don't insulate you from that.
4. Account responsibility
You're responsible for your password and for the devices that pair with your account. We never see your password in plaintext (bcrypt hashed at registration) and never see your raw device key (SHA-256 hashed before transit). If you lose access, use the forgot-password flow. We do not have a manual recovery path.
5. What we collect
Email, password hash, optional Minecraft username (if you link one), and your account activity logs (sign-ins, device pairings, admin grants). We do not route gameplay traffic through our servers — the relay only carries the control-plane WebSocket messages you initiate (e.g. "show me the macros list"). Video and input streaming when implemented will be peer-to-peer (WebRTC).
6. Subscriptions
The paid tier (when active) is billed via Stripe at the price shown on the billing page. Cancel anytime; refunds at our discretion. We may comp accounts for free at our discretion.
7. Termination
We may suspend accounts for violations of these Terms, suspected abuse, or repeated payment failure. You may delete your account from the Account page; deletion is permanent within 30 days.
8. Liability
Sentinel is provided AS IS, no warranties expressed or implied. You use it at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

10. Changes
We may update these Terms. We'll bump the date at the top and post a notice in the dashboard before any material change takes effect. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.
